Job Description Teamware Solutions is seeking a skilled Oracle Database 12c Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our critical Oracle database environments. You'll be responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of our databases, playing a vital role in our data infrastructure. This position is ideal for an experienced DBA who thrives on optimizing complex database systems and safeguarding valuable data. Key Responsibilities - Database Management & Maintenance: - Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database 12c instances across various environments. - Perform regular database backups, restores, and ensure disaster recovery readiness using RMAN. - Implement and manage database security, including user permissions, roles, and encryption (TDE). - Conduct routine database health checks, monitoring, and maintenance tasks such as indexing, partitioning, and integrity checks. - Performance Tuning & Optimization: - Monitor database performance using tools like AWR, ADDM, and ASH, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for performance tuning. - Optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, and database schemas for improved efficiency. - Analyze and troubleshoot complex database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime. - High Availability & Scalability: - Implement and manage high availability solutions like Oracle Data Guard, Real Application Clusters (RAC), and flashback technologies. - Plan and execute database scaling strategies to support growing data volumes and user loads. - Troubleshooting & Support: - Provide expert-level support for all Oracle 12c database issues, responding to incidents and requests in a timely manner. - Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to resolve database-related application problems. - Documentation & Best Practices: - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures. - Ensure adherence to industry best practices and internal standards for database administration. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator with a strong focus on Oracle 12c. - In-depth knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming. - Experience with RMAN for backup and recovery. - Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems for Oracle database environments. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills - Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for Oracle databases. - Knowledge of Oracle Exadata or other engineered systems. - Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) for 12c or higher. - Experience with database migrations and upgrades.
