OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Manager to oversee EHS standards within a manufacturing environment. The role will be responsible for promoting a safe workplace, ensuring environmental compliance, managing workplace risks, and maintaining high standards of occupational health and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and safety standards Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and incident investigations Ensure safe handling, storage, and management of chemicals Monitor environmental compliance, waste management, and occupational health standards Conduct EHS training and safety awareness programmes Ensure compliance with local regulations and relevant EHS/ISO standards Collaborate with production and management teams to strengthen the organisation’s safety culture Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental practices PRE-REQUISITES Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, OHS, or a related field Relevant EHS/HSE experience at Assistant Manager or Manager level Experience in rubber, glove, or similar manufacturing environments is highly preferred Strong knowledge of occupational safety, environmental compliance, risk management, and chemical handling Strong command of written and spoken English NEBOSH, IOSH or similar certifications are an advantage
