About Brainwave Science
Brainwave Science is a U.S.-patented neurotechnology company pioneering iCognative — an advanced BCI based investigative solution used by governments, intelligence, and security agencies worldwide. We are now embarking on the next phase of our journey: developing our own proprietary EEG headset to power future innovations in neuroscience, AI, and security technology.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled EEG Hardware & Signal Processing Engineers to lead the design, development, and testing of our custom EEG headset. You will be responsible for the full hardware lifecycle — from circuit design to amplifier development, analog-to-digital conversion, form factor optimization, and integration with AI-driven data processing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware Development: Design and build EEG acquisition circuits, high-gain low-noise amplifiers, and precision analog-to-digital converters.
- Signal Acquisition & Processing: Ensure high-quality, artifact-free brainwave data capture for scientific and operational applications.
- Form Factor & Ergonomics: Work with industrial designers to create comfortable, wearable headset designs suitable for long-duration use.
- AI & Data Integration: Collaborate with AI/machine learning engineers to optimize data pipelines and develop brainwave interpretation algorithms.
- Prototyping & Testing: Build functional prototypes, perform iterative improvements, and conduct validation studies.
- Documentation: Maintain technical schematics, component specifications, and research documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience Engineering, or related field (IIT or equivalent preferred).
- Proven experience in EEG hardware design (circuit design, amplifier design, ADC).
- Strong background in signal processing and mathematics (Fourier transforms, filtering, noise reduction).
- Experience with AI/ML applications in biosignal processing is a plus.
- Knowledge of wearable device form factor design and ergonomics.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for medical or neurotechnology devices is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in PCB design software (e.g., Altium, KiCad).
- Hands-on prototyping and lab testing skills.
- Experience in biosignal acquisition beyond EEG (EMG, ECG, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to work on groundbreaking neurotechnology with global impact.
- Collaborative, innovative, and mission-driven work culture.
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
