
Funding Coordinator

The Funding Coordinator will manage the entire funding process for solar projects—from preparing and submitting funding packages to negotiating better pricing and terms with financiers. This is not an accounts receivable or basic admin role; it requires strong negotiation skills, persistence, and the ability to push projects through to payment without delays.
Funding Management & Negotiation
- Communicate directly with financiers to secure the most competitive pricing for each project.
- Negotiate terms and resolve any issues to ensure favorable funding agreements.
- Build strong relationships with funding partners to improve approval timelines and payment turnaround.
Funding Submission & Tracking
- Prepare and submit all required project documents for funding approval.
- Ensure submission packages are accurate, complete, and compliant with financier requirements.
- Track the progress of funding applications and proactively follow up until payment is received.
Problem-Solving & Escalations
- Identify and resolve any roadblocks preventing timely funding.
- Escalate issues to the right contacts at financiers to prevent payment delays.
- Maintain organized records of all communications, agreements, and approvals.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in solar, construction, or finance-related coordination roles.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
