Urgent Assistant Professor Of Psychology

An Assistant Professor in Psychology with a doctorate is primarily responsible for teaching undergraduate and or postgraduate courses conducting research and mentoring students Key Responsibilities Teaching Develop and deliver lectures create course materials syllabi assignments etc conduct assessments exams papers etc and facilitate classroom discussions in undergraduate and graduate psychology courses Research Conduct independent research supervise student research projects and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals Mentoring Provide academic advising and career guidance to students helping them navigate their educational and professional journeys Curriculum Development Contribute to the development and review of course curricula ensuring they align with current trends and best practices in the field Departmental Involvement Participate in departmental meetings contribute to strategic planning and collaborate with colleagues on various initiatives Service Engage in university and community service activities such as participating in committees attending university events and contributing to outreach programs Professional Development Stay current with the latest research and trends in psychology and incorporate new knowledge into teaching and research Qualifications Doctoral Degree A Ph D in Psychology is typically required Research Experience Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish research in psychology Teaching Experience Prior experience teaching psychology courses at the college or university level is often preferred Communication Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for teaching research and mentoring Interpersonal Skills Strong interpersonal skills are needed for effective collaboration with colleagues and for mentoring students Job Types Full-time Permanent Benefits Commuter assistance Internet reimbursement Leave encashment Paid sick time Schedule Day shift Monday to Friday Supplemental Pay Performance bonus Yearly bonus Work Location In person
