Job Requirements We are seeking an experienced MATLAB Simulink Engineer to design model and validate hardware control systems for Class II and Class III medical devices The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in dynamic system modeling plant model development and control algorithm design with hands-on experience integrating software-in-the-loop SIL hardware-in-the-loop HIL and real-time simulation frameworks Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain MATLAB Simulink models for dynamic plant systems and control algorithms Create and validate interacting plant models for multi-domain systems electrical mechanical and thermal subsystems Collaborate with hardware and embedded software teams to design control strategies and system simulations Implement model-based design MBD workflows including code generation Simulink Coder Embedded Coder Conduct system-level simulations performance tuning and stability analysis Support HIL SIL test development and automated test frameworks Ensure all modeling and validation activities comply with FDA IEC 62304 and ISO 14971 standards for Class II III medical products Document model requirements architecture verification plans and validation results per medical device quality system QMS guidelines Participate in risk management design reviews and traceability mapping from system requirements to implementation Work Experience Qualifications Education Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Control Systems Engineering or a related field Experience 5 years of experience in MATLAB Simulink-based model development for real-time control systems Proven experience with dynamic system plant modeling mechanical electromechanical or fluid systems Strong background in control theory signal processing and system identification Hands-on experience with hardware integration real-time targets e g dSPACE Speedgoat and embedded code deployment Prior experience in Class II III medical device development and familiarity with FDA design controls is required Working knowledge of IEC 60601 ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 standards Preferred Skills Experience with Simscape Stateflow and Simulink Test environments Exposure to sensor fusion motor control or mechatronic systems Familiarity with Python C C or LabVIEW for automation or testing Strong analytical documentation and troubleshooting skills Ability to work in cross-functional engineering and quality teams
