Role description:

This role is part of Arcadis Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis offices globally. Qualifications & Experience:

- Post-Graduation in Civil/Structure Engineering
- A candidate with 58 years of relevant experience in the design of highway and rail bridges and multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Experience in the design delivery of civil works and utility structurers will be considered an added advantage.

Role accountabilities:

- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and manage minor projects involving standard structural designs for highways, railways, and related civil or utility works.
- Have experience to work collaboratively with project leads and reviewers on complex or major projects, actively seeking their feedback and consistently delivering value-added solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Involving in all the stages of Civil designs starting from Conceptualisation, Optioneering, Detail engineering and till the construction stage support covering entire life cycle of delivery.
- Guiding junior members of team in fulfilling the safe design and resolving straightforward issues related to design.
- Ensure quality by verifying and checking design submittals prepared by team members and collaborate with senior staff as needed to deliver acceptable outcomes, in accordance with project requirements.
- Support the project lead, or independently manage programme timelines, budgets, and health & safety requirements across all projects as needed.
- Develop effective working relationships with other disciplines and senior colleagues in GEC, Canada and with any other region, if necessary.

Required Specific Competencies:

- Confident in working independently, with strong influencing, motivating, and delegating skills. Possesses excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Fair Knowledge of Canadian (CSA/NBC) and US (AASHTO/ACI) design standards and delivery processes of ANA (Atlantic North America) region.
- Should have worked on design of prestressed and steel composite bridges, covering different type of structures such as vehicular, pedestrian and utility bridges.
- Conceptualizing, Designing, co-ordinating highway, railway and civil and utility structures using available digital tools and should be able to validate through alternative means, if necessary, by applying basic engineering principles.
- Skilled in performing design checks as part of an independent check/review team, with the ability to coordinate and drive the resolution and closure of interdisciplinary issues
- Have a thorough knowledge on software applications, such as MIDAS, ROBOT, STAAD and other tools such as LEAP Bridge Design, RAM Connection etc.
- Experienced in utilizing various analysis methodsincluding FEA, grillage models, line diagrams, and basic geometry formationas required by the task and validating results throughout the work progress.
- Thorough knowledge of BIM process, common data environment and its application on the delivery project is must. Candidate should have working knowledge of software such as Revit, MicroStation, ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Should be able to work on integration of design and drafting tools for the delivery of the project
