Job Description Senior Product Development Engineer KSB Pumps Limited is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana. This pivotal role involves coordinating product development with manufacturing plants, leading design calculations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You'll be instrumental in guiding junior team members and driving the successful release of new designs. Responsibilities: - Coordinate with manufacturing plants for product development. - Prepare/Review/Verify Design calculations, and provide inputs to Assistant Design Engineers & CAD Engineers. - Receive, analyse & comment on inputs/suggestions received from manufacturing plants. - Release final drawing/design to manufacturing plants. - Maintain Quality Records and Schedule/Budget records for given projects. - Ensure compliance of products with design standards/codes. - Conduct conceptual design studies pre-development/during development. - Study Functional Requirement Specification & prepare Technical Specification. - Guide team(s) for various projects/assignments. - Prepare documents as per requirements, including those for CE/ATEX marking related submissions and certifications, and attend internal & external audits. - Handle requirements related to Product Support/Product Care independently. - Provide Guidance/Support to CAD Engineers in UG related tasks. - Prepare Inputs for Bill of Materials (BOM) and prepare BOMs. - Prepare BOM Checklist to fulfill project requirements. - Provide simultaneous support to multiple project teams, where necessary, with minimum guidance. - Create alternative ideas/proposals for new designs/design optimization. - Impart training/share knowledge with department colleagues for their competency building. - Ensure release/modification of design drawings within the committed time schedule, acceptable to Manufacturing. - Oversee the overall correctness/completeness of Design Calculations/Drawings. - Liaise/coordinate with KSB Germany for designated projects. - Process offer permit requests. Skills: - Expertise in design calculations, value engineering, and technical studies. - Strong knowledge of product development lifecycle. - Proficiency in preparing and verifying design documentation including 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and specifications. - Ability to ensure product compliance with design standards/codes (e.g., CE, ATEX). - Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide Assistant Design Engineers and CAD Engineers. - Excellent coordination skills with manufacturing plants and cross-functional teams. - Proficiency in preparing and managing Bill of Materials (BOMs). - Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities for design optimization and technical support. - Effective communication skills for internal collaboration and liaison with KSB Germany. - Commitment to quality and adherence to schedules/budgets.
