SAP ECC Senior Finance Solution Architect

Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION Job title: SAP ECC Senior Finance Solution Architect Responsible to: Director SAP DEVOP Finance Department: Global Financial Applications Location of work: London, UK main purpose of role The candidate will join a strong SAP Build team with an in progress Global SAP implementation. The ECC Senior Solution Architect will be responsible to ensure the good design and management of the existing global template for FICO (i.e. P2P and OTC) and SCM whilst contributing heavily to new designs as the SAP project continues to roll out to 33 new territories globally. This will involve close cooperation with multiple parties including FICO & SDMM architects & ABAP developers & Business process owners. Core skills include: - Serve as a key member of the ECC solution architect team to help formulate a strategy to help in formulating the solution functional design - Act as a liaison between BPA (Business Process Analys) team and support - Responsible for the solution architecture on a major new strategic programme of work within the organisation - Ensure that the solution designed and delivered to IT estate are aligned to the architectural roadmap - Design and implement solutions to achieve successful business outcome and align with UMG Global Design principles - Ownership, control and management of a FICO global template - Extensive SAP solution design experience - Hands on configuration experience of FI, MM, SD, PS, CO-PA, CO-CCA/PCA, Banking, and SAP DRC - Good understanding on the localisation knowledge - Strong understanding of integration with BI - Experience of business process design including requirement gathering - Translate requirements into implementation plans - Ability to current and future state data, technical, application and business architecture needed, verify and modify recommended implementation plan based on BPA inputs and existing/inflight projects - Design authority for support & project delivery teams - Work closely with UMG Operational Support & his team to resolve any issues, if require - Work cross-functionally with multiple teams including implementation partners and support - Think out of the box to come up with creative solutions to address issues - Aptitude for quickly learning new technologies, and a desire to research and understand new areas of SAP - Up to date with developments in areas in and around the SAP roadmap - Able to identify best practice solutions to complex problems - Train on methodology including streamlining, simplification and automation of tasks person specification The candidate must have excellent general SAP ECC skills, accompanied with a solid understanding of SAP BI - As a Senior Finance Solution Architect who has evolved from a strong background in hands on SAP development - Experience designing resilient and high availability solutions - Passion to deliver the high-quality solution with an all-in commitment to what we do - Successful track record of implementing any of the SAP global programme - Highly experienced with SAP FICO & SCM, with at least 8 to 10 implementation cycles completed - Skills and experience in the following areas would be highly advantageous: ABAP & S4 HANA - Consulting background preferred - Ability to engage with and inspire confidence across all levels of the business to Senior level - Accounting background preferred - Experience of working in a global environment - Exposure to the media industry would be preferable - Strong communication & presentation skills - Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
