Overview of the Team: The Communications Team at Akanksha works with internal and external stakeholders to build the brand and share the organization’s work. The team handles social media, media outreach, events, reports, and internal communication. It also supports talent recruitment, donor communication, and storytelling around Akanksha’s impact. Position Summary: As Senior Associate – Communications (Nagpur), you will play a key role in managing Akanksha’s communications in the region. Your top priorities will be: 1. Managing and growing Akanksha’s social media handle – increasing engagement and building meaningful collaborations. 2. Exploring new avenues of outreach, including media partnerships, newspaper articles, and networking events. 3. Exploring and building partnerships that support Akanksha’s programs. Responsibilities include: ● Managing and growing Akanksha’s social media presence. ● Drafting and designing content for newsletters, reports, video scripts, and social media. ● Managing and executing events for internal and external initiatives, such as staff meetings, townhalls, and annual functions. ● Staying connected with other teams to share timely updates relevant to communications and outreach strategies. ● Supporting the donor team with collating school-wise reports and related requirements. Experience: ● 2–3 years of relevant work experience in marketing and communications, with exposure to social media, writing, and events. ● Experience in a deadline-oriented environment. Knowledge / Skills: ● Strong written and verbal skills. ● Proficiency in design tools like Canva, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Premiere Pro). ● Good skills in photography and video editing. ● Strong project management and attention to detail. ● Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency. Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Marketing/Advertising/related fields.
