This is a full-time on-site role for an Admission Counselor located in Mumbai. The Admission Counselor will be responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, conducting interviews, providing information about educational programs, and assisting with enrollment procedures. The role also involves maintaining detailed records, handling inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience for all applicants.Key Responsibilities 1. Counseling and Guidance Interact with walk-in and telephonic inquiries from students and parents, providing accurate information about courses, eligibility, career paths, and admission criteria. Understand students’ interests, academic background, and career goals to suggest the most suitable program. Conduct structured counseling sessions and follow-up meetings as needed. Build rapport with prospective students to ensure trust and comfort throughout the counseling process. 2. Admission Process Management Assist students in filling out admission forms and completing documentation (ID proofs, academic certificates, photos, etc.). Track and manage inquiries, applications, and conversions in the admission funnel. Coordinate with internal departments for timely processing of forms, payments, and enrollments. Ensure all student records are accurate and updated in the admission system or CRM. 3. Lead Generation and Follow-Up Maintain a database of inquiries through walk-ins, website leads, social media, and referrals. Make outbound calls to potential leads, follow up regularly, and convert inquiries into admissions. Work closely with the marketing and telecalling teams to identify potential candidates and boost lead quality. 4. Relationship Management Build and maintain long-term relationships with students and parents. Provide pre-admission and post-admission support including scheduling orientation, resolving queries, and offering course updates. Act as a key point of contact for enrolled students for any clarification related to their course, fees, or schedule. 5. Reporting and Coordination Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on student inquiries, conversions, admissions, and follow-ups. Coordinate with academic departments, finance teams, and trainers to ensure smooth onboarding of new students. Contribute feedback on frequently asked questions and trends noticed during student counseling.Skills Required Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Local Language. Confident and clear presentation skills while speaking with students and parents. Good listening skills and the ability to empathize with student concerns. Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM tools. Ability to handle multiple inquiries and tasks simultaneously in a professional manner.
