Job Overview An Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Installation & Setup Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, and lighting fixtures. Set up electrical panels, circuit breakers, transformers, and power distribution systems. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Ensure correct installation of electrical appliances, machinery, and equipment. B. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues. Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to power supply, wiring, or equipment failures. Replace faulty components such as switches, fuses, wiring, and motors. Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid unexpected breakdowns. C. Safety & Compliance Follow electrical safety standards and company policies to ensure workplace safety. Ensure proper grounding, insulation, and protection of circuits. Comply with local and national electrical codes and regulations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. D. Coordination & Reporting Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and contractors on electrical projects. Provide feedback on system performance and suggest upgrades or improvements. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports. Respond quickly to emergency electrical breakdowns to minimize downtime. 3. Required Skills & Competencies A. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and testing equipment. Ability to read circuit diagrams, technical drawings, and manuals. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic devices. Understanding of motor controls, PLCs, and industrial automation (optional for industrial roles). B.
