Position: Assistant Manager Stores

Reports To: Plant Head

Role Summary

Responsible for managing inventory, warehouse operations, and subcontracting (JW) activities. Ensures timely receipt, storage, issue, and dispatch of materials, accurate stock records, compliance with safety standards, and smooth coordination with vendors and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain optimal inventory levels, stock accuracy, and ERP records
- Oversee goods receipt, dispatch, and documentation (FIFO/LIFO compliance)
- Conduct stock audits, rack audits, and ensure warehouse efficiency
- Supervise stores team and ensure adherence to safety & compliance
- Coordinate with procurement, production, quality, and finance
- Manage JW activities scheduling, rework, supplier onboarding, reconciliation, and payments
- Ensure timely scrap disposal and adherence to company scrap policy

Qualifications

- Graduate / Diploma in Engineering Mechanical, Industrial Engineering
- 8+ years experience in stores/warehouse management (manufacturing industry)
- Proficiency in ERP & MS Office; strong vendor & team management skills

Key Performance Indicators

- Stock accuracy & timely issuance of materials
- Warehouse efficiency & manpower utilization
- On-time vendor deliveries, JW reconciliation & payments
- Compliance with audits, safety, and scrap policy
