Job Description

Information Security Policy Analyst - will be responsible for the following:

Evaluate new risks, regulatory requirements, and security frameworks to understand requirements, communicate recommendations, and develop new Information Security policies, standards, and guidelines.

Ability to evaluate existing policy in the context of the risk, regulatory, and security framework environment to recommend updates, including:

oContent updates

oUpdates to improve readability and usability of content

oAbility to develop standards, policies, and guidelines in manner consistent with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool principles to ensure content can enable deployment of security risks and security controls to responsible teams

Ability to identify need for and lead project activities, including:

oLeading meetings with organizational experts (including members of Information Technology, Information Security, Legal, and others) on Information Security topics to gain consensus establishing or updating Information Security policy

oDeveloping schedules and milestones to ensure timely completion of project deadlines, including identification of scope changes, critical path items, dependencies, audit requirements, and others

oDocumenting decisions to ensure audit trail is maintained

oReporting on project activities to management

oDelivering publication-ready artifacts on time

Requires excellent writing and communication skills

Experience designing, developing, or editing technical documents

Proficient with Microsoft Office productivity applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint

Familiarity with ServiceNow is preferred

Requires ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

Requires proficient knowledge and understanding of industry-accepted information security concepts across the entire breadth of Information Security to support security policy work, including familiarity with security frameworks including NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, AICPA Trust Services Criteria, HIPAA, and HITECH.

Understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance concepts and principles

Must be able to provide previous experience writing samples to demonstrate documenting abilities

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Requires ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

Requires proficient knowledge and understanding of industry-accepted information security concepts across the entire breadth of Information Security to support security policy work, including familiarity with security frameworks including NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, AICPA Trust Services Criteria, HIPAA, and HITECH.
