Job Description Inviting applications for the role of Consultant, IT Security Specialist Responsibilities - Security Implementation: Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access controls, encryption, and other security technologies. Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor IT systems for security threats and vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents. Security Policies and Procedures: Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a secure IT environment. Security Audits: Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement. User Training: Provide security awareness training to employees to promote a culture of security and compliance. Incident Response: Respond to and manage security incidents, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions. Security Documentation: Maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, incident reports, and security controls. Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data protection laws, and internal security standards. Security Patch Management: Manage the application of security patches and updates to systems and software. Vendor Security: Evaluate and ensure the security of third-party vendors and service providers. Respond to and, where appropriate, resolve or escalate reported security incidents including incidents or events reported by MDR provider Key Security Tools - Proofpoint/Microsoft Defender/Cisco/Manage Engine/SentinelOne Qualifications we seek in you Minimum Qualifications - Effective problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of data privacy regulations and principles. Experience with security monitoring and incident response.
