Greetings from TCS Come and join us for an exciting career with TCS Role: Aix System Administrator Desired Experience Range: 10-12 years Location: Hyderabad Must Have Experiences and Skills: - 5 - 8 years of experience in IBM AIX Server Administration - As this is for a L2 requirement, candidates should have strong skills in installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of all areas of IBM AIX Server including high availability, replication, disaster recovery, patching, backup & recovery, performance tuning, optimizing, and securing AIX Servers in a large environment. - Administer and maintain AIX systems including LVM, HACMP ,VIO servers, and HMC. - Perform OS upgrades and patching on AIX and Red Hat Linux systems. - Configure and manage IBM Pacemaker clusters for high availability. - Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across AIX and Linux environments. - Manage logical volumes, file systems, and storage configurations. - Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability and performance. - Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. - Ensure compliance with security policies and implement system hardening practices. - Extensive knowledge on IBM HMc and firmware upgrades - Strong knowledge on AIX upgrades from 7.2 to 7.3 and Vio version upgrades - Installation of redhat linux servers using Kickstart and AIX servers through NIM. - Excellent documentation skills. Should have prior experience in creating design documents, SOPs etc. - Flexible working in 24x7 operations (working in shifts, on-call support etc.) - Should have excellent communication and presentation skills as the candidate needs to work with Architects, Service Owners, Business Partners and other technical teams - Good understanding of ITIL processes Incident, Problem, Configuration and Change Management (ITIL) - Flexible to learn other technologies as per project requirements.
