Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer who has hands-on experience building custom themes and plugins and is also comfortable working with React for front-end enhancements and Python for backend integrations. You will be responsible for building user-friendly, performant WordPress websites with modern functionality and custom features.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Extend WordPress functionality using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Custom Post Types (CPTs), and third-party integrations.
- Build dynamic front-end components using React, especially in headless or hybrid WP environments.
- Create and consume REST APIs and WP REST API endpoints.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive, pixel-perfect layouts.
- Optimize sites for performance, SEO, and accessibility.
- Integrate Python-based services or scripts (e.g., data processing, automation tools, APIs).
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing WordPress projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Solid experience with custom WordPress development (not just page builders).
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and WordPress core functions.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.
- Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development.
- Understanding of security, performance optimization, and SEO best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Headless WordPress (e.g., WP + React front-end).
- Familiarity with WooCommerce and eCommerce customization.
- Experience working with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud hosting (AWS, DigitalOcean).
- Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and internationalization.
