Position Summary:
Reporting obligations across multiple regimes are becoming increasingly complicated, highly fragmented, and administratively burdensome. S&P Global's Integrated Reporting offers a one-stop solution to support transactions across all asset classes, including valuation and collateral reporting to multiple jurisdictions and key trade repositories. Our expansive coverage includes reporting for ASIC, Canada, CFTC, EMIR, HKMA, MAS, and MiFID across credit, commodities, exchange traded derivatives, equities, foreign exchange, and rates.

We are looking for a senior developer to create common front-end and back-end solutions across our platform. These solutions include common web components, styling components, and frameworks to unify all our platform applications into a consistent user experience. You will work directly with our senior product and tech leaders on a daily basis to help craft these new experiences. This fantastic opportunity will allow you to impact how global businesses interact with the financial markets on a day-to-day basis. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for architecting and building new applications for our customers. You should be competent with the standard industry technologies but also continue to help drive us towards the latest and greatest technologies in the web development ecosystem.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Design and develop scalable, maintainable web applications using Angular and React.js in an agile environment.
- Lead front-end architecture and design discussions provide strategic technical input across projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
- Drive UI/UX best practices, including responsive design and accessibility standards.
- Optimize performance across modern frameworks, ensuring fast load times and smooth interactivity.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior developers.
- Work closely with DevOps and QA to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and automated testing coverage.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and enforce clean code principles.
- Interface with global teams to capture requirements, communicate progress, and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle - from planning and design to deployment and support.

Essential Skills:

- 4-6 years of hands-on development experience in frontend and full-stack technologies.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
- Expert-level experience with Angular (v16+) and React.js (v18+).
- Experience with Java Spring Boot.
- Deep understanding of React Hooks, component lifecycle, context API, error boundaries, and state management (Redux/Context/Zustand).
- Experience working with Tailwind CSS for utility-first UI design.
- Proficiency in Formik or React Hook Form for complex form handling and validation.
- Familiarity with AG Grid, Material UI, Ant Design, or other modern UI libraries.
- Good experience in Java Spring Boot (back-end integration).
- Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and API integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library, TDD/BDD practices.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools like Lighthouse, Web Vitals, and browser dev tools.

Preferred/Bonus Skills:

- Experience with Next.js or Server-Side Rendering (SSR).
- Familiarity with Micro-frontend architecture and modular monoliths.
- Exposure to containerization (Docker) and working knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience with internationalization (i18n) and accessibility (a11y) standards.
- Contribution to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio is a plus.
