About 7-Eleven For 90 years 7-Eleven has been successfully meeting customers needs But convenience is now being redefined Were integrating more than 70 000 stores worldwide with a strong digital and e-commerce presence Through machine learning artificial intelligence and next-level mobile technologies well meetand exceedour customers ever-changing needs New consumer behaviors and rapid tech development will continue to transform how and when people shop With the rapid growth of social media and emerging trends in the Internet of Things customer behavior is changing We need to transform ourselves into a software organization by building products and experiences for our customers Our goal is to transform 7-Eleven into a customer-obsessed digitally enabled organization The Global Center in India will play a significant role in the transformation journey at 7-Eleven by building products that support business activities at each of our convenience stores About This Opportunity 7-Eleven is looking for a great Java Developer to be a part of an amazing transformation in how we operate our stores and become part of our Fuel Team and imbibe with the culture Youre joining a multidisciplinary team of product managers and engineers who create and maintain a frictionless dispenser experience to thousands of customers who use 7-Eleven for their fueling needs You will be actively participating in designing developing testing and deploying code to drive our digital products Your primary focus will be developing applications using Java to manage an IoT based event driven system using technologies like AWS IoT Spring state machine Spring Boot REST JSON Kubernetes Docker NoSql databases and Git Github Gitlab You will be utilizing AWS services such as Cloud Formation Templates EC2 EKS Lambda API Gateway Apigee and many more You will ensure that the components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure and participate in team design sessions and scrum agile ceremonies Must Have Qualifications Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience Minimum 3 years of experience with development using Java Spring Spring boot frameworks Minimum 1 years experience in relational or non-relational database management systems Minimum 1 years experience with Unit and Integration testing with Junit Selenium Cucumber JS unit testing library Jest Mocha Understanding of MVC MVVM MVP structure and development patterns Excellent written and verbal communications skills Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements Good to Have Exposure to development of large microservice-based architectures container orchestration frameworks Kubernetes Amazon EKS Good experience with API development using Java and MongoDB Familiarity with modern build pipelines and tools Familiarity with code versioning Git Gitlab Familiarity with backlog management tools like JIRA
