Company Description Rotork is the market-leading global flow control and instrumentation company helping our customers manage the flow or liquids gases and powders across many industries worldwide Our purpose is Keeping the World Flowing for Future Generations For over sixty years the world has relied on us to create the things that keep everything moving From oil and gas to water and shipping pharmaceuticals and food- these are the flows on which our modern world depends Today we re respected and admired for our people performance and products Our success flows from our commitment to engineering excellence and that s what we will always pursue safely and sustainably Rotork is going through an exciting period of change and growth building on our existing market success It s a great time to join us and make an impact in shaping the future of our business The HTS Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate Harmonized Tariff Schedule HTS classifications for imported and exported goods in compliance with global customs regulations This role will primarily focus on HTS determinations but may also support broader trade compliance activities including export controls country of origin determinations and regulatory audits The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in engineering manufacturing with a strong understanding of customs rules and the General Rules of Interpretation GRI Key Responsibilities and Outcomes HTS Classification Perform detailed analysis of product specifications technical drawings and bills of materials to assign accurate HTS codes Apply the General Rules of Interpretation GRI and relevant customs guidance to ensure compliance with global tariff classification standards Maintain and update classification databases and documentation for audit readiness Technical Expertise Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to understand product functionality composition and intended use Interpret technical data and product schematics to support classification decisions Trade Compliance Support Assist with country-of-origin determinations ECCN classification and other compliance-related tasks as needed Support internal audits and respond to customs inquiries Cross-Functional Collaboration Work within a matrixed organization partnering with procurement logistics legal and operations teams to ensure seamless compliance processes Provide training and guidance on HTS classification best practices to internal stakeholders Qualifications Qualifications Technical knowledge Experience Strong understanding of the Harmonized System and General Rules of Interpretation GRI Professional Qualifications Import Export International Trade Compliance Qualifications Technical Skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings product specifications and manufacturing processes Soft Skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities in a matrixed environment Personal Specification Attention to detail Ability to communicate complex problems in a concise manner with a clear understanding of risks and benefits to the business Managing and growing relationships in a matrix environment Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines
