About the team: We are looking for Procurement Specialist with 2 to 3 years of experience to be based at our Mangalore office in India and to be part of our growth story. The Procurement Department at EG is a dynamic and essential part of the organization, playing a critical role in managing procurement activities and ensuring smooth operations across various regions. We have a diverse team of commodity specialist and coordinators who handle various aspects of procurement. Responsibilities: - Collaboration is a key part of your role. You'll work closely with other departments, such as IT and finance, to ensure procurement needs are met and to support company-wide initiatives. You'll also ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations - Documentation is another important aspect of your job. You'll maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices. - Overall, your workday will be dynamic and varied, involving a mix of administrative tasks including verifying invoices, vendor management, and cross-departmental collaboration. This role offers a great opportunity to develop a diverse skill set and contribute to the company's success. Your workday, your tasks and mandatory skill set: As a Procurement Specialist with a procurement background, your main tasks and responsibilities will revolve around managing procurement activities and ensuring compliance with company policies. Your day will start with reviewing and processing purchase orders and requisitions, matching invoices with Purchase Orders, contacting stakeholders, creating different records in the system, like vendors accounts, etc. generating reports, analysing data, proactively taking care of the daily operations, taking part in brainstorming and workshops, etc. Throughout the day, you'll build and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Required Skills: Detail-oriented, proactive. possess strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills, and be proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. - Quick learner with strong analytical and logical thinking abilities. - Effectively conveys ideas and information with clarity and confidence. - Approaches challenges with creativity and delivers practical solutions. - Thrives in dynamic environments and quickly adjusts to changing priorities. - Collaborates effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals. - Takes initiative and anticipates needs without waiting for direction. - Prioritizes tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and deliver quality results.
