Job Category Security Engineering Your seniority as a security engineer puts you in the ranks of the top talent in your field Play a critical role at one of the world s most iconic financial institutions where security is vital As a Security Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Cybersecurity Technology Controls team you serve as a seasoned member of a team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse circumvention and malicious behavior Carry out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm s business objectives Job responsibilities Design build test and deploy Core Java web applications across development testing and production environments Collaborate with product owners to gather requirements and architect secure scalable solutions deliver new features in agile two-week sprint cycles Conduct security validation optimize performance and apply software engineering best practices provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed applications DevOps Create enterprise-level applications including RESTful microservices using Java Spring Spring Boot ORM frameworks Oracle and NoSQL databases Automate deployment and infrastructure pipelines for both on-premises and public cloud platforms Develop unit and integration tests with JUnit Cucumber and Mockito produce software documentation and operational runbooks Implement platform observability and reporting and manage production support activities Required qualifications capabilities and skills Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience Experience working in Java Spring and Spring boot frameworks Hands on experience working on relational NoSql databases SQL and ORM technologies JPA hibernate etc Excellent knowledge of Object Oriented concepts analysis and design using common design patterns Experience developing security engineering solutions Proficient in coding in one of more languages Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI CD application resiliency and security
