Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader to head our Field Outreach & Sales (FOS) vertical. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of FOS Counsellors, engaging with educational institutions, and driving student outreach initiatives to promote NIIT's new-age career programs. This role requires a strong field sales background, leadership capabilities, and a passion for mentoring teams and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of FOS Counsellors to establish partnerships with colleges within and around the base city by engaging with deans, HODs, and TPOs.
- Organize and lead sessions, events, and webinars in partner colleges to introduce students to NIIT's industry-relevant programs.
- Own and drive lead generation and revenue targets through college-connect programs.
- Take full P&L ownership of the FOS vertical, with a goal to achieve Operating Income (OI) of approximately ₹6 Cr/month by Q4.
- Inspire and guide the team to counsel prospective learners (final-year students, unemployed graduates), helping them map their career aspirations with NIIT's offerings.
- Mentor and coach the team on managing the end-to-end sales lifecycle — from initial outreach to closing sales and managing post-sales relationships.
- Ensure effective CRM management and maintain accurate records of all lead interactions.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and continuously work towards maximizing ROI.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in EdTech and/or Field Sales with a proven track record of leading large teams.
- Strong willingness to travel extensively and work on the field.
- Passionate about sales and highly goal-oriented.
- Innovative, proactive, and eager to take on diverse responsibilities with enthusiasm.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects effectively.
- Agile, adaptable, and resourceful in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Strong leadership skills to drive a target-driven culture within the team.
