The Structural Fitter will be responsible for interpreting and working with technical drawings, assembling and aligning structural components of ships, and ensuring the quality and precision of final outputs. Daily tasks include using hand tools, executing cutting and welding processes, and ensuring proper installation of parts to meet project specifications. Qualifications - Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering plans - Skills in welding, cutting, shaping, and assembling structural components - Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers and levels - Knowledge of shipbuilding standards and adherence to safety protocols - Problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail - Previous experience in the shipbuilding or marine industry is a plus - Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding environments - Relevant trade certification or vocational training in structural fitting or a related field
