Company Description Visa is a world leader in payments and technology with over 259 billion payments transactions flowing safely between consumers merchants financial institutions and government entities in more than 200 countries and territories each year Our mission is to connect the world through the most innovative convenient reliable and secure payments network enabling individuals businesses and economies to thrive while driven by a common purpose - to uplift everyone everywhere by being the best way to pay and be paid Make an impact with a purpose-driven industry leader Join us today and experience Life at Visa Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with data science leads across Asia Pacific to understand their business requirements translate them into actionable data science projects and deliver solutions that address business needs Communicate complex data science concepts and insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders ensuring alignment on goals and outcomes Project Resource Management Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects including scoping planning execution and delivery Allocate resources efficiently across multiple projects and prioritize initiatives based on business impact Technical Expertise Collaboration Act as a technical expert guiding the team in building and deploying advanced analytics predictive models and machine learning solutions Collaborate closely with the data engineering team to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines scalable infrastructure and efficient workflows Innovation Best Practices Drive the adoption of best practices in data science methodologies coding standards and model deployment strategies Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team remains ahead of the curve This is a hybrid position Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager Qualifications Education Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Data Science Statistics or a related field Advanced degrees preferred 12 years of experience in data science including 3 years in a leadership or management role with proven track record of strong people and stakeholder management skills Proven track record of delivering impactful data science projects in a cross-functional and geographically dispersed environment Technical Skills Strong programming skills in Python R or similar languages Proficiency in SQL and experience with big data tools e g Spark Hadoop Expertise in machine learning statistical modeling and data visualization tools Experience working with cloud platforms e g AWS Azure GCP is a plus Soft Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels Strong project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement Additional Information Visa is an EEO Employer Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race color religion sex national origin sexual orientation gender identity disability or protected veteran status Visa will also consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with EEOC guidelines and applicable local law
