Job Description Risk:Credit Risk-II Team INTERNAL USAGE: No. of Vacancies: Reports to: Is a Team leader N Team Size: Grade: M-AVP Business: Corporate Center Department: Risk Sub-Department: - Location: CO About Risk The Risk department ensures that the Banks risk is managed through a risk management architecture as well as through policies and processes approved by the Board of Directors encompassing independent identification, measurement and management of risks across the various businesses of the Bank. The Risk department of the Bank strives to proactively anticipate vulnerabilities at the transaction as well as at the portfolio level, through quantitative or qualitative examination of the embedded risks. AbouttheRole Primary focus of the role is to manage End to End Collateral Risk for the Product(s) under purview. The role entails management of the Collateral Risks for different Products, while ensuring that assigned Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) are within parameters stipulated by the Bank. The role involves use of data and analytical insights in tandem with robust process and policy frameworks to monitor, measure and mitigate Key Risks pertaining to the said Product(s). The role encompasses Competitive benchmarking, market information and knowledge of key regulations governing the said Product(s) in addition to line and policy formulation functions for these product(s). The Credit Risk Team is also responsible for the following: Assist in managing credit risk of Axis Bank commercial banking portfolio through analytical support, Track early warning signals, root-cause analysis, covering Business Segments, Sector and Groups. Liaise with stakeholders, Business managers, credit managers to understand Business problem, Conceptualize the analytical approach with respect to the stated Business/risk objective that will help deliver analytical solution in the Risk domain, Work under the guidelines provided by top management on key risk and control parameters through analytical interventions Key Responsibilities Assist in taking suitable risk actions and interventions through analytical support Create innovative variables that can predict risk Draft and manage credit parameters and formulating policies for Micro finance loans. Manage risk for MFI business. Portfolio monitoring and setup various early warning signals Identify risky pockets where Credit Risk is being observed. Responsible for managing end-to-end risk of the portfolio Liaise with stakeholders, Business managers, Credit Managers for portfolio monitoring Guide/ mentor junior team members Rating confirmation of proposals Ensure the risk levels are well within benchmark by taking suitable risk actions and interventions. Proactive in identifying risks, early warning signals and take necessary corrective actions ensuring delinquencies are within acceptable limits. Roll out and support Business initiatives for specific Collateral (s) or markets. It involves review and recommendation of changes to existing product policy norms. Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in a relevant role Hands on experience in operations of transaction systems of the Bank Role Proficiencies: Knowledge of key processes of data capture and flow Knowledge of the use of data elements for internal / external reporting and analytics. Analytical bent of mind, penchant for working with data and numbers
