About the role

The Business Development Manager (Logistics) will be responsible for driving the growth of the companys logistics business by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and increasing market share. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of logistics operations, excellent sales and negotiation skills, and the ability to establish long-term relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and generate new business opportunities in the logistics and supply chain industry.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell services.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential clients in the logistics space.
- Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the company&aposs market presence and revenue streams.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to close deals and ensure client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored logistics solutions that meet client needs.
- Maintain and update a database of potential and existing clients, keeping track of all interactions and communications.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of current clients to identify areas for improvement and retention.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.

Experience:

- Minimum 6-10 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, transportation management, and supply chain processes.

Skills:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
