Qatar Airways is looking for a Procurement Manager in Ahmedabad, India.

The position will be responsible to lead and drive all procurement requirements in the defined categories. Analyse and develop strategies, agreeing cost savings targets interfacing with senior management and stakeholders. Manage supply chain to ensure best value for the company in line with strategic, financial and operational requirements. Lead, drive and motivate the team to achieve set goals, minimize risk exposure and provide maximized value to Qatar Airways. Continuously monitor and analyse scope under management to ensure further improvement in the categories and the department. Manage and develop the assigned team, ensuring compliance, maintain high professional standards and adherence to Qatar Airways culture and values.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for Tender administration generally including creating system documents, printing and approvals circulation, checking for a required documents, grammar and spelling, calculations, drafting executive Memos.
- Responsible for the high-level negotiation with the key suppliers on costs, commercial and contractual terms and assisting reports on this where required.
- Manage quality control throughout project life cycle by maintaining delivery timelines, mitigating project risks and act as a liaison with all project stakeholders to ensure effective change management.
- Provide comprehensive summaries and data for reporting activities on spend, timelines, current operational state.
- Organise and control purchasing department records necessary for complying with audit requirements, up to date and accessible.
- Oversee the process of tender creation of RFP/RFQ/RFI and other tender documents.
- Ensure high service levels delivery of subordinate Procurement team for QR Group including timelines, professionalism, communications and quality of produced work.
- Achieving Procurement KPls, regularly assessing progress to keep delivery on track.
- Challenge user timelines, specifications, sourcing methods, suppliers lists where appropriate to achieve the optimal outcome for QR.

Qualifications

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6+ years of procurement specific experience
- 3+ years experience in managing a team
- Previous employment and work in geographically diverse teams
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business or a related field
- Prior experience in procurement or the aviation industry preferred
- Strong analytical skills, strong communication skills and negotiation skills
- Excellent planning, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and usual MS Office tools.
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, manage workflow and achieve timely results from the subordinate team
