Job Description Legal Officer Corporate, Litigation & IP Location:Pune Role Type:Full-Time | On-site (Back Office | Occasional Proceedings Support) About the Role SVS Aqua Technologies LLP is looking for a reliable Legal Officerwith strong experience in corporate documentation, arbitration/litigation support, and intellectual property matters. The ideal candidate should havesolid mid-level experience , strong drafting skills, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with external senior lawyers and external counsels. This position isprimarily back-office, with opportunities to attend arbitration or litigation proceedings as required, to support senior legal teams with facts, documents, and case preparation. The candidate May need to travel on short notices for any urgent court hearings or proceedings. Key Responsibilities Litigation & Arbitration Support - Assist in preparing cases forarbitration and corporate litigation. - Coordinate with external counsel, compile case facts, documents, and evidence. - Attend hearings with senior lawyers/counsels when required for support. Legal Drafting & Documentation - Draft and review notices, replies, contracts, affidavits, representations, and legal correspondence. - Prepare and vet NDAs, distribution agreements, and commercial contracts. - Maintain and organize legal files, case bundles, and internal documentation. Intellectual Property (IP) Management - Manage companypatent and copyright-related matters including filings, renewals, oppositions, or infringement cases. - Coordinate with IP attorneys for filings, compliance, and documentation. - Maintain internal IP registers and ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements. Corporate Compliance & Governance - Monitor, interpret, and implement relevant regulatory and statutory obligations. - Support internal teams with legal requirements related to operations, agreements, and business processes. - Prepare internal legal policies, checklists, and compliance reports. Internal Advisory & Coordination - Provide legal opinions on operational or commercial matters. - Collaborate with senior management and relevant departments to reduce legal risk. - Liaise with authorities, consultants, and external law firms wherever needed. Desired Candidate Profile - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LLB/LLM). - 45 yearsof experience in corporate legal functions, litigation/arbitration support, or IP. - Strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills. - Familiarity with commercial contracts, compliance frameworks, and litigation procedures. - Excellent communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks responsibly. - High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
