Job Description

What youll do

- Develop and implement comprehensive QE strategies and plans.
- Collaborate with development team to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Design, develop, and complete validations of test plans and test cases.
- Identify and efficiently document the software defects and issues.
- Drive, define and evolve automation tools and strategies for testing components, work with product owners to identify and generate test data
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and recommended guidelines.
- Continuously improve QE processes and methodologies.
- Collaborate with Product Manager, QE lead and other team members to ensure alignment on quality goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Monitor and report on QE metrics and performance indicators.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of QE status and issues.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.
- Work with customers to understand their workflows and needs and adapt or pivot quickly based on their feedback.

Skills

- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Overall experience 3-6 years in software testing and quality engineering domain.
- Exposure to any scripting language (Python, Perl, JavaScript etc).
- Expertise in automation frameworks - like JUnit, Selenium, TestNG etc.
- Knowledge of programming languages C/C++/Java is added advantage.
- Experience in desktop and web application testing.
- Strong understanding of QE methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Diligent with a strong focus on quality.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools.
- Basic experience with web technologies with basics of HTML, CSS, PHP etc.
- Knowledge of Node js and Mocha frameworks is added advantage.
