1WCMC CREDIT ANALYST INTERNAL USAGE No of Vacancies 1 Reports to Credit Specialist - MC Is a Team leader N Team Size NA Grade Senior Manager AVP VP Business Corporate Center Department Wholesale Credit Sub-Department MC Credit Location CO-Mumbai Noida Bangalore Chennai Hyderabad Kolkata About Wholesale Credit The Wholesale Credit department in the Bank is a Credit Underwriting department for all Large mid and SME borrowers of the Bank The department is responsible for maintaining the portfolio quality and for ensuring smooth credit appraisal process The bank has a separate Mid-Market vertical which focuses to deepen its presence in regional business clusters and expand its presence amongst the companies operating with turnover in the range of Rs 250 Crs to Rs 1000 Crs Mid Corporate MC Credit underwrites credit facilities sanctioned to corporates operating in mid-market in India About the Role The Bank has a separate Coverage and Credit vertical for dealing with Mid corporates All the credit proposals originating from the coverage team requires independent vetting and sign off from the credit team Therefore the underlying role is of utmost importance in deciding the right credit and taking the right decisions Credit Analyst-WCMC is responsible for managing the credit activities and processes of the WC-MC vertical for the designated location The credit analyst should enable smooth functioning of the Credit ensuring sanction of proposals within the defined TAT also ensuring the credit quality standards i e managing the portfolio quality ensuring adherence to the processes designed by the bank Key Responsibilities Review of credit proposals ensuring adherence to the credit policy of the bank and other external and internal guidelines Ensure the quality of proposals and credit appraisal to minimize delinquency and build portfolio of expected quality Gather market intelligence with other financial institutions and entities to understand the market dynamics and risk trends and to use necessary information for taking credit decisions Appraise the sanctioning authority on all the strengths and weaknesses of the proposal and all the critical information and insights required for decision making Monitor the accounts to ensure maintenance of a healthy portfolio Regular site visits and promoter level interactions for better portfolio monitoring Manage the relationship with various functions and departments within the bank to ensure collaboration and alignment to organizational objectives Qualifications Optimal qualification for success on the job is Graduation Post- Graduation MBA CA preferred from a recognized institute Experience in assessing credit of Corporate clients Role Proficiencies For successful execution of the job the candidate should possess Knowledge of credit industry and product trends Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and norms Good communication both verbal and written skill in both English and the local language Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines Skills Refer to the About Company Axis Bank is the third largest private sector bank in India The Bank offers the entire spectrum of financial services to customer segments covering Large and Mid-Corporates MSME Agriculture and Retail Businesses The Bank has a large footprint of 4 594 domestic branches including extension counters with 11 333 ATMs 5 710 cash recyclers spread across the country as on 31st March 2021 The Bank has 6 Virtual Centres and has over 1500 Virtual Relationship Managers as on 31st March 2021 The Overseas operations of the Bank are spread over eight international offices with branches at Singapore Dubai at DIFC and Gift City-IBU representative offices at Dhaka Dubai Abu Dhabi Sharjah and an Overseas subsidiary at London UK The international offices focus on Corporate Lending Trade Finance Syndication Investment Banking and Liability Businesses
