creative and resourceful candidates for ExxonMobil s Bengaluru India location to work on challenging petrophysical problems in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of formation evaluation specialists and operations geologists located in Houston USA Candidates will conduct applied project work with real well logs core and well test data using a variety of software for petrophysical data processing and evaluation Ideal candidate can work independently on all types of petrophysical log data and be able to interpret complex analyses from raw logs to integrated solutions What you will doIn consultation with ExxonMobil s Formation Evaluation group in Houston and Business Units define project objectives work scopes and deliverables Contribute to all stages of petrophysical project work including data preparation pre-processing data filtering augmentation environmental corrections and calibration Provide real-time operational support during drilling and completion activities ensuring accurate and timely petrophysical data interpretation to guide operational decisions as and when required Conduct model-based petrophysical analyses to evaluate reservoir properties and fluid distributions across the lifecycle while supporting ExxonMobil s efforts to formulate new and innovative approaches to improve the efficiency of multi-well workflows Collaborate with geologists geophysicists engineers and other disciplines as well as business units to ensure integrated and accurate petrophysical interpretation in conventional CCS and unconventional reservoirs Perform sonic log Q C rock physics modeling fluid substitution well-to-seismic ties and seismic modeling if needed Work with computational scientists engineers and geoscientists to test deliver and support various petrophysical software tools models algorithms and software both globally and as part of the team in Bangalore on multiple projects with different business units About YouSkills and Qualifications Master s or equivalent degree PhD with a minimum 7 0 GPA or equivalent from a recognized university in Geology Geophysics Physics Mathematics or Engineering Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in petrophysical formation Evaluation analyses in support of upstream oil and gas operations Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and take ownership Relevant hands-on experience in any of the following areas across various stages of the field lifecycle including conventional and unconventional reservoirs operational support and seismic rock physics is desirable Preferred Qualifications Experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets Experience with one or more integrated petrophysical analysis software suites Additionally coding experience and knowledge of statistical methods machine learning and numerical modeling can be an added advantage Proficiency in English Your
