Senior MDM Business AnalystAre you passionate about data and the value it can bringDo you enjoy collaborating with teams to deliver improvements that make a differenceJoin our TeamThe Enterprise Data Analytics teams mission is to build an Elsevier-wide data engaged culture powered by defined data-management practices Because informed decisions lead to better outcomes We develop solutions for managing master and reference data provide capabilities to manage and govern data assets and provide analytical platforms to deliver valuable business insights We support global standardisation in data management analytics and visualisation tools via our comprehensive Elsevier data platform We relentlessly advocate for sharing and re-use of data embedding a data focused culture About the RoleThe MDM Business Analyst sits within the Enterprise Product Hub EPH business team and works closely with stakeholders and the EPH Development team You will report to the Director of Data Governance Product Data You will be responsible for identifying and analysing business requirements across Elsevier related to the management of Product Master data You will contribute to the continuing implementation of and improvement to the EPH MDM application You will have ownership of specific roadmap activities related to Business Analysis tasks and be required to work according to our Business Analysis Framework Success is measured against progress on our OKRs ResponsibilitiesAnalyse define and document current future requirements and business processes Outputs include user stories testing scenarios success criteria training user manualsIdentify potential new product data consumers and articulate the value of the data to the business unitsProvide support during the development phases including active participation in user testing and confirmation of requirementsContribute to building and documenting best practices for the ways of working and become an active participant in the Business Analysis GuildWork on the EPH Support Channel together with the team to ensure coverage resolution of queries from stakeholdersDevelop relationships and build trust with our stakeholders across ElsevierRequirementsA deep curiosity and a keen passion for dataSubstantial experience as a Business Analyst identifying and delivering improvements that make a differenceKnowledge broad understanding of conceptual data modelling reporting toolsExperience of working in an Agile environmentExcellent written verbal and presentation skills including proficiency in simplifying complex technical contentAbility to translate between business and technical teams maintaining context and bringing clarityAbility to coordinate business user acceptance testing and facilitate workshopsWork in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work life balance across the organisation With an average length of service of 9 years we are confident that we offer an appealing working prospect for our people With numerous wellbeing initiatives shared parental leave study assistance and sabbaticals we will help you meet your immediate responsibilities and long-term goals Working remotely from home or in our office in a flexible hybrid styleWorking flexible hours -
