JOB DESCRIPTION

Sr. UI/UX Design Head

Overview:

At Coschool, we are building a next-gen Ed-tech platform that will revolutionize the way learning is imparted. We are currently expanding our engineering team and looking to add passionate developers who can work in a dynamic fast-paced environment to build products that impact millions of students. As the Sr. UX Design Head you will use your creative skills to define early concepts with founders and craft elegant design solutions to make learning without knowledge gaps a fun activity. We priorities passion and energy to add to our team.

Team Mission:

The design team for primary years researches, ideates, and designs end-to-end experiences for children (Grade I to VII). The team adopts the strengths of AI to craft engaging, playful and personalized learning experience.

You will:

- Set up, lead, mentor and manage a team of 4-5 designers and interns.
- Enable the design team to execute the Coschool primary years overall strategy and vision.
- Develop relationships, strategies and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and leads across PM, engineering, UX, UX research, Engineering, and Data analytics to problem solve and look at the user experience and customer journeys, end-to-end.
- Help designers on the team with career milestones and performance goals.
- Interact with user segments comprising students, teachers, and parents to capture objective feedback and translate them into viable design decisions.
- Adopt best practices, stress on continuous improvement, and build a product suite to lend Coschool the competitive edge in the industry.
- Uphold a high bar of product quality and design craft through participating in design reviews, cross-functional project discussions and frequently raising quality improvements.

What We Need:

- 10 years of experience in product design or UX, preferably for B2B products.
- 3-5 years of experience leading design projects and managing teams.
- Experience leading design projects with a high level of complexity and ambiguity resulting in measurable impact results.
- Past experience as a senior designer working on B2C and/or B2B product experiences.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Communicating with multiple levels of stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate positions to influence and challenge partners with new design thinking.
- Experience in agile methodologies and familiarity with UI/UX design tools.

Preferred Skills:

- Bachelor&aposs degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related f field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience designing and leading teams for products related to early years or those that relied on relevant cognitive psychology principles.
- Track record of 5-6 years of design and people management experience at a startup or mid to large size company.
- Experience scaling design teams at a mid to late-stage startup.
- Familiarity with conversational AI frameworks.
