V.M.C./ C.M.M. Operator

Job Description

Machine Operation:

- Operate Vertical Machining Centers (V.M.C.) or Coordinate Measuring Machines (C.M.M.) as per production requirements and safety standards.

Program Handling:

- Interpret and execute CNC programs; make necessary adjustments to tools, offsets, and settings to maintain dimensional accuracy.

Quality Inspection:

- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs to ensure components meet technical specifications and tolerances.

Tool Management:

- Select and manage appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures for efficient machining operations.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical or program-related issues to prevent downtime.

Documentation:

- Maintain production logs, inspection records, and machine usage reports as per company procedures.

Collaboration:

- Coordinate with quality, design, and production teams to resolve machining or measurement-related issues.

Qualifications:

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field.
- 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience in V.M.C. or C.M.M. operation.
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and using measuring tools.
- Knowledge of CNC programming is an added advantage.
