Sr Systems Administrator Windows VMWare Experience Required 8-10 years Skills- VMware Windows Server Administrator with Scripting Expertise We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Windows Server Administrator with expertise in scripting to join our IT team The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing maintaining and optimizing our VMware and Windows Server environments as well as automating routine tasks through scripting This role requires strong problem-solving abilities in-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies and a solid understanding of Windows Server administration Key Responsibilities VMware Administration Design implement and manage VMware vSphere environments including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server till latest version Perform VM provisioning cloning and maintenance tasks Upgradation Vcenter and esxi version Monitor and optimize VMware resources ensuring high availability and performance Troubleshoot and resolve VMware-related issues Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtual environments Windows Server AdministrationInstall configure and manage Windows Server operating systems 2012 2016 2019 2022 Administer Active Directory DNS DHCP and Group Policy Perform regular system maintenance updates and patch management Monitor server performance ensure security and maintain system backups Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows Server and related applications Scripting and AutomationDevelop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating routine tasks and improving efficiency Create scripts for system monitoring configuration and reporting Automate deployment processes and system configurations using scripting Integrate scripting solutions with VMware and Windows Server environments Security and ComplianceEnsure compliance with organizational policies industry regulations and best practices Implement security measures including patch management firewall configuration and intrusion detection Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments Collaboration and SupportWork closely with other IT teams including networking storage and application teams to ensure seamless operations Provide Level 2 3 support for escalated issues and participate in on-call rotations Document processes procedures and configurations Required Skills and Qualifications VMware- Strong experience with VMware vSphere vCenter and ESXi administration Windows Server Proficient in Windows Server 2016 2019 2022 administration including Active Directory DNS DHCP and Group Policy Scripting Proficiency in PowerShell scripting familiarity with other scripting languages like Python or Bash is a plus Automation - Experience with automation tools and methodologies including scripting and orchestration in virtualized environments Networking- Understanding of network protocols routing switching and firewall configurations Security Knowledge of security best practices including patch management and system hardening Problem-Solving - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail Communication- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document technical processes
