Job Description Position: Hardware Design Engineer Type: Full Time Location: Bengaluru(on-site) Stipend: 20k-25k About the company LCM is a pioneering EV tech startup founded by IIT Kharagpur alumni, dedicated to solving EV range anxiety through innovative modular charging solutions. LCM is a path-breaking airflow energy recovery system designed to harness wind energy from moving vehicles and convert it into usable electrical power. By integrating advanced aerodynamic propellers and compact generators, LCM helps extend the range and efficiency of electric vehicles. Supported by top-tier incubators like Wadhwani Foundation, StrongHer, Atal Incubation Centre, and IIMB NSRCEL, and funded by equity-free grants, we are reshaping sustainable mobility in India. Position Overview The Hardware Design Engineer will contribute to the design, develop, and testing of power electronics circuits and STM-based controller boards. The role involves complete hardware implementation, from schematic design to PCB validation, working closely with the firmware team to ensure cohesive product integration. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop hardware circuits for STM-based controllers and power modules. - Create and verify schematic designs, ensuring signal integrity and design rule compliance. - Develop PCB layouts, perform design reviews, and coordinate fabrication and assembly. - Conduct simulation and testing for analog, digital, and power electronics subsystems. - Collaborate with the firmware team to validate and refine hardware performance during integration. - Prepare documentation, BOMs, and test reports in accordance with company protocols. Qualifications - B.E/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering discipline. - Strong understanding of circuit design concepts and power electronics fundamentals. - Proficiency in schematic and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD/Capture, or KiCAD. - Basic experience in simulation tools for design verification and debugging instrumentation. - Good analytical skills with attention to detail and collaborative approach to problem-solving. Preferred Skills - Familiarity with STM32-based hardware and embedded system interfaces. - Knowledge of power supply design, isolation techniques, and layout optimization. - Exposure to hardware-firmware bring-up and testing environments. Soft Skills - Analytical mindset for optimizing circuits under design constraints. - Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with cross-functional teams.
