Job Description The opportunity Employee/Labor Health & Safety work encompasses activities related to the wellbeing of employees including: Developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace. Identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions. Investigating accidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence. Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to employee heath and safety. Maintaining and analyzing records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies An Entry Professional (P1) applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. May require the following proficiency: Work is closely supervised. Problems faced are not typically difficult or complex. Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area. How You'll Make An Impact - Manager legal requirements of HSE and comply on regular basis. Support businesses in meeting the HSE KPIs. - Weekly call with all the operation leads to ensure compliance. Prepare the business in line with Hitachi Energy Management system requirements. - Participate in GEMBA discussion and lead the HSE actions. Lead the mandatory training program in the business - Reviewing ABRA and LSR Compliance and take actions and follow-up with team to close gaps on time. - Perform safety observation tours, safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance. - Manage all required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System to be compliant with ISO standards. - Compile all NCs, prepare corrective action and follow up for closure of NCRs. Coordinate and participate in the investigation of incidents and near-misses - Review and analyze past incidents and make action to learn from incidents. Prepare and timely submit all MIS & reports. - Share best practices across all units to grow the knowledge and competence of the teams. Lead in BU Carbon neutrality program - Lead and support the factories on Machine Safety Requirements and compliance. Implement the Machine Safety standards in the Factories. - Manage the Legal documents and report like CTE & CCA , EPR , monthly , annual environment monitoring and reporting to GPCB. Prepare the Manifest for all hazardous materials disposal. - Goold knowledge of legal requirements - Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business Your background - Graduation in Science/ engineering with relevant of 8-10 years of experience in field of HSE - Candidate should hold a Recognized certificate in HSE - Candidate should hold NEBOSH IGC Certified. - Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required Hitachi Energy is a global technology leader in electrification, powering a sustainable energy future through innovative power grid technologies with digital at the core.
