Job Description

The Overseas Educational Counsellor is responsible for guiding students through the process of applying to and enrolling in international universities and colleges. This role involves providing expert advice on academic pathways, career opportunities, visa applications, and cultural adaptation to ensure students make informed decisions about their education abroad

Responsibilities

- Counsel students on study abroad opportunities, course selection, universities, and career prospects.
- Assist in shortlisting suitable universities based on students academic background, financial capacity, and career goals.
- Guide students through the admission process, including application preparation, documentation, and submission.
- Provide accurate information on visa requirements, procedures, and interview preparation.
- Conduct information sessions, seminars, and webinars for prospective students and parents.
- Stay updated with international education trends, admission deadlines, and changes in visa regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with universities, colleges, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain student records and track application progress.
- Provide pre-departure orientation and support for students relocating abroad.
- Ensure a high standard of customer service and student satisfaction throughout the process.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Education, Business, Counseling, or related field.

Previous experience in student counselling, preferably in the overseas education sector.

Strong knowledge of international education systems, visa processes, and admission criteria.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.

Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

Strong ethical standards, cultural sensitivity, and a student-first approach.
