Internship Role: Android Developer

Function: Software Engineering → Mobile Development (Android)

Responsibilities

- Work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to understand product requirements.

- Participate in design discussions and code reviews.

- Implement new features and optimize existing ones.

- Follow best practices in software engineering, including agile development, unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting.

- Work with platform-specific development and debugging tools.

Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability in Android applications.

Requirements

- Prior internship experience or projects in Android development (Share links to your apps on Google Play, if available).

- Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.

- Familiarity with Kotlin or Java.

- Basic knowledge of Android SDK and open-source Android libraries.

- Experience working with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications with backend services.

- Understanding of offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.

- Proficient in Git and version control systems.

- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.

- A passion for user-centric product development and engineering excellence.

- Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.

- Have worked in a fast-paced product-based startup.
- Possess conversational knowledge of any regional Indian language.
- Regularly consume startup-related content (articles, books, podcasts, documentaries, etc.).
