Senior Laboratory Technician

Sr Lab Technician - Bromine Recovery Bromine Derivatives Manufacturing Location Job Type Full-time Schedule Day Shift work as applicable Department Quality Control Laboratory About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our production facility specializing in recovered bromine and bromine-based derivatives The ideal candidate will perform routine and advanced testing ensure product quality and maintain laboratory equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Key Responsibilities Collect and analyze samples from raw materials process streams finished products wastewater and recovered bromine Perform wet-chemistry testing such as titrations pH alkalinity acidity density and moisture analysis Operate analytical instruments including Ion Chromatography IC Gas Chromatography GC HPLC UV-Vis Spectrophotometer Karl Fischer titrator Automated potentiometric titrators ICP if applicable pH meter conductivity meter refractometer and other QC equipment Ensure all tests meet internal specifications customer requirements and safety standards Document results accurately in logs worksheets and LIMS systems Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment per established SOPs Report out-of-specification results and assist in investigations or corrective actions Follow all safety protocols when handling bromine corrosive chemicals and reactive materials Maintain a clean organized and compliant laboratory environment Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Chemistry Chemical Technology or related field Experience in a chemical manufacturing lab QC lab or bromine halogen industry preferred Strong understanding of laboratory safety and chemical handling Ability to perform accurate measurements and follow standardized methods Good communication teamwork and documentation skills Ability to work shifts if required Preferred Skills Experience with halogen chemistry or bromine derivatives Familiarity with ISO 9001 ISO 14001 quality systems Instrument troubleshooting and calibration experience Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 10 788 62 - 40 000 00 per month Work Location In person
