Job Title:Automation Engineer Location: ETAP -Delhi Employment Type: [full-time] The job We are looking for a Automation Testing Engineer- SCADA with 46 years of hands-on experience in SCADA systems, particularly in testing and validation of SCADA software, protocols, and communication systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in C#, Python, Wireshark, and working knowledge of MongoDB and SQL databases. A solid understanding of electrical or power system fundamentals is essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities - Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for SCADA modules. - Perform manual and automated testing of SCADA software applications, including HMI, RTU, IED, and data acquisition modules. - Use C# and Python to develop custom test scripts for automation and simulation of SCADA workflows. - Monitor and analyze SCADA network traffic using Wireshark, focusing on protocols like DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus, IEC 61850, etc. - Test and validate communication protocols such as DNP3, IEC 104, Modbus, IEC 61850, and ICCP. - Verify system behaviour during real-time data acquisition, event logging, and control operations. - Validate communication between control center and field devices (RTUs, PLCs, IEDs). - Troubleshoot and report software/network issues and support root cause analysis. - Manage, query, and analyze SCADA logs and test data using SQL and MongoDB. - Contribute to test automation framework development and CI/CD test pipelines. - Collaborate with system engineers, developers, and QA teams to improve system robustness and testability. - Maintain test documentation, reports, and compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. Essential Requirements - Skilled in Microsoft Office & Excel - Fluent in English and good verbal and written abilities - Effectively communicate across all levels within the organization regarding complex technical. - Ability to work in an environment using a decentralized, team-based approach. - Good communication and presentation skills Desired Skills - 4- 6 years of experience in SCADA software testing. - Strong understanding of power system fundamentals and electrical distribution networks. - Experience in testing industry-standard communication protocols and telemetry systems. - Familiarity with test case design, test execution, and defect lifecycle management. - Capable of performing research, design and testing of various primary and secondary control functions and software modules. - Ability to follow various industrial standards and write specifications. - Highly motivated, self-managed, detail-oriented and well-organized; good problem-solving and analytical skills. - MS SQL query writing, stored procedure validation. - MongoDB NoSQL document testing and data verification. - Basic knowledge of programming in C++ or C#, Phyton. - Experience with simulation tools, or protocol simulators (e.g., Triangle Microworks, SEL simulators). - Proficient in Wireshark for SCADA protocol packet analysis and troubleshooting ETAP requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
