Lead - Group Tax Vat

Job Description About the role I am a subject matter expert and required to lead the VAT function. I ensure Compliance and controls are in place with regard to VAT returns, VAT reconciliations, Intrastat submission You will be responsible for To ensure the VAT return are prepared in the accurate manner in a timely fashion to help group tax in declaring right VAT to Tax Authorities. * To support team & group tax with compliance risk analysis process - AP review, BL review, SL review and other system reviews. * To provide assistance during HMRC audits and other audits related to Indirect tax. * Month-end is completed within the specified time frame * Provide suggestions and corrections that enable the business to account correctly as per Financial Standards. * Handle internal and external audits and queries in an efficient manner * Building strong relationships with internal and external colleagues. * VAT corrections to be minimized by early identification of issues. - Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence - Driving and implementing CI Projects and innovation for their teams - Deep expertise in a particular process or discipline - First line team supervisory responsibility on process coaching, on the job training, coordinating and communicating - Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, manage escalations within process You will need - Preferred Value added Tax Process expertise - Planning and Organising - Financial Accounting Concepts and Application - Analysis and decision making Whats in it for you At Tesco, we are committed to providing the best for you.
