Job Overview

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to design, build, and maintain business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and visualization, with the ability to transform raw data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, design, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Create and manage data models, including Power BI datasets, relationships, and measures using DAX.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI using Power Query.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all Power BI solutions.
- Optimize reports and dashboards for performance and user experience.
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and other security features in Power BI.
- Provide training and support to end-users for self-service BI solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, updates, and best practices.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, relationships, and normalization.
- Experience with SQL and querying relational databases.
- Familiarity with connecting Power BI to various data sources, such as Excel, SQL Server, SharePoint, and cloud-based platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or Azure SQL.
- Knowledge of other BI tools like Tableau or QlikView.
- Experience in handling large datasets and optimizing performance in Power BI.
- Microsoft Power BI Certification (e.g., DA-100, PL-300).
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R for advanced analytics.

Information Security Responsibilities

- Understand and adhere to Information Security policies, guidelines and procedure, practice them for protection of organizational data and Information System.
- Take part in information security training and act while handling information.
- Report all suspected security and policy breach to InfoSec team or appropriate authority (CISO).
- Understand and adhere to the additional information security responsibilities as part of the assigned job role.
