Manager Cloud AVD Infrastructure

Lionbridge is looking for an accomplished global IT Leader which demonstrates a strong combination of business, technical, tactical, and leadership skills. The right candidate will drive tactical solutions through IT infrastructure, security, architecture, support, cloud and computer operations to meet global and local office business needs.

The Manager Cloud AVD Infrastructure oversees and directs the day-to-day activities ensuring that Lionbridge systems, services and infrastructure work reliably and securely. You will be responsible for managing a team of 10-15 Engineers and Support Professionals operating our Cloud based virtual desktop environments for 1000s of end users.

What you will do:

- Manage the transition to AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) for Lionbridge teams around the world, building out new environments/services are required. We are looking for an inspirational leader for this ongoing program, who can manage and support the strong engineering team assigned.

- Own the systems and network technology footprint and documentation, and the evolution of that footprint, to better meet business requirements and support key initiatives.

- Manage day to day operational changes of Lionbridge public cloud resources.

- Monitor the performance of business-critical systems to prevent delays and outages in our high-availability datacenter and networks and quickly resolve ongoing issues.

- Lead the Operations Team including 24/7 scheduling. This includes mentoring and supporting career growth performing reviews and evaluations and resolving conflicts and similar issues.

To be successful you will have:

- Several years of experience in managing a large IT operational team in a global, world-leading enterprise company managing all day-to-day aspects of delivering outstanding IT services from all environments, including local offices, datacenter and the cloud.

- Experience providing internal customer service to the business including, meeting quality standards, SLAs and effective communications strategies of these standards.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a closely related field and/or 10+ years related experience.

- Experience supporting or managing IT professionals in an operational enterprise environment.

- Experience in Azure technologies (including Azure Automation), virtualization, networking, identity, storage, backups, resilience, and disaster recovery.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate clearly with team members, management personnel and end-users throughout the organization

- Track record of mentoring and coaching individuals at all levels of professional development.
