Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Guidance Counselor to join our high-performance team. You will work directly with high-school and undergraduate students to guide them through the entire university admissions journey, offering strategic, personalized support for applications, essays, profile building, and career discovery.

You will also play a key role in client relationship management, school outreach, and student development initiatives, making this a high-impact position for counselors who love both strategy and mentorship.

Key ResponsibilitiesAdmissions Counseling (End-to-End Ownership)

- Advise students on course selection, university shortlisting (US, UK, Canada, EU, Asia), and application timelines
- Provide detailed support for SOPs, LORs, college essays, and portfolios
- Conduct mock interviews and profile reviews
- Own the complete admissions journey from discovery call to university acceptance
- Ensure timely submission of all documents and applications

Career Counseling & Student Development

- Conduct personalized 1:1 career counseling sessions
- Use assessments (MBTI, aptitude tests, etc.) to guide decisions
- Recommend internships, summer programs, online courses, and extracurriculars
- Track student growth, academic progress, and milestones

Client & Parent Management

- Build strong, trust-based relationships with students and parents
- Schedule regular review meetings and progress check-ins
- Offer high-touch support and respond to academic/emotional needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and CRM records

School Outreach & Marketing Support

- Collaborate with school leaders, counselors, and education fairs
- Deliver career workshops, webinars, and seminars for schools
- Represent Globestar services across school events and expos
- Contribute to social media, outreach campaigns, and lead-generation efforts

Reporting & Coordination

- Share weekly progress reports and application trackers
- Collaborate with internal teams: content, operations, tech, and marketing
- Stay updated on global education trends and evolving admission criteria

Key Requirements

- Master’s degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or Business
- 4–5 years of experience in university guidance, admissions consulting, or student advising
- Proven success in global university placements (Ivy League, Oxbridge, top 100 schools)
- Strong knowledge of application processes across the US, UK, Canada, EU, and Asia
- Experience in SOP editing, LOR guidance, and career assessments
- Exceptional English communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Willingness to travel for school visits and events (domestic/international)
