Role Description This is a contract role for a QA Tester specializing in JMeter with over five years of experience. This remote position involves executing tests, ensuring quality assurance, conducting manual testing, and developing comprehensive test cases. The QA Tester will be responsible for identifying and addressing any issues, maintaining high standards of quality, and collaborating with the development team to enhance product performance. Title: QA Testing Location: Chennai (Hybrid) Experience: 5+ yrs Hire Mode: Contract Note: Hands-on experience in Selenium, Postman, and JMeter testing. Expertise with REST API’s Job Summary The QA Engineer will focus on QA testing to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability using Selenium, Postman, and JMeter, with expertise in REST API testing. This role involves creating and executing test plans to deliver robust applications. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute QA test plans and scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing. - Automate web application testing using Selenium for cross-browser compatibility. - Test REST APIs using Postman to validate functionality and integration. - Conduct performance and load testing with JMeter to ensure scalability. - Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA. - Collaborate in Agile teams to align QA testing with project goals. - Improve QA testing processes and automation frameworks. Required Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of experience in QA testing. - Hands-on expertise in: - Selenium for web automation testing. - Postman for REST API testing. - JMeter for performance and load testing. - Strong knowledge of REST API testing (e.g., JSON, HTTP methods). - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. - Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) or additional testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress). - QA testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB).
