This is your chance to be part of this exciting Compute team that offers elastic compute capabilities to run any workload in the cloud Department Description Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure team is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best in class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever-expanding set of foundational cloud-based services. At the heart of OCI is Identity and Access Management Service, which provides security to OCI infrastructure as well as solutions built on top of OCI Infrastructure such as PaaS, SaaS, and software developed on top of OCI or OCI PaaS. OCI IAM offers a challenging and non-routine task for tech geeks, which is to build multi-tenant, highly available, distributed, and resilient Identity and Access management service - Identity Management (Users, Groups, Dynamic Groups, Instance Principal, and Devices), Identity Provisioning, Synchronization, and Identity Lifecycle management, Single Sign-on, Multi-Factor Authentication, Biometric Authentication, Passwordless Authentication, Federated Authentication, Privileged Access Management, Adaptive Access Management, CARTA (Continuous Adaptive Risk and Trust Assessment), and Authorization Service - and to develop infrastructure components required for building IAM service. Career Level - IC3 Position Overview: We're looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed and highly available Identity and Access Management services. Job Responsibilities: As a Senior or Principal Member of Technical Staff you will own the software design and development for major components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure. You should be both a rock-solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. Candidate Profile: - 4 - 8 years of experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems. - Strong knowledge of Java, and experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc. - Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals. - Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures. - Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies. - Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. - Experience building multi-tenant security solution or IAM products is a strong plus. Top 3 skill sets / technologies in the ideal candidate: 1. Software Engineering experience with distributed systems within large scale environments 2. 4-8 years of experience working on challenging issues with a self-starter / self-motivated attitude 3.
