SYSTRA India’s comprehensive know-how and expertise in Railways provides a wide spectrum of solutions for any challenge (Building a new rail link, doubling the capacity, gauge conversion, upgrading a network, improving the performance of existing lines, etc.). Our extensive experience encompasses, Bridges, station buildings, Depots, Earthwork & Track Works, Power Supply and Transmission, Signaling & Telecommunications, Rolling Stock, Utilities diversion and yard re-modelling etc. Our services cover the entire life cycle of the project implementation. Currently, we are bidding for Highway projects across India. The position of Senior Contract Specialist is the key position in these BIDs. Missions/Main Duties: - He will be deployed in working season in stages for cumulative duration of period for obtaining his expert opinion on emerging contractual issues. - To guide and assist Team Leader/Employer in all aspects of contract management in proper implementation of contract provisions including controlling the project cost of the construction package. - He will also be required to offer his advice on contractual complications arising during the implementation as per the request of the employer. - Prepare manuals/schedules for the consultants team/employer based on the provisions of the contract document. - Responsible for giving appropriate suggestions in handling claims of the contractors and any dispute arising thereof. Profile/Skills: - Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized University. Degree in Law/PG Management/Certificate course in Management/Certificate course in Construction Management/Certificate course in contract Management. - Professional Experience of 15 years in Contract Management. - Experience of at least 4 years as Contract Specialist on any National/State Highway project/Bridge Project/Tunnel project. - Contract Management of a large Highway/Bridge contract say over Rs.150 crore including experience of handling Variation orders, claims of the contractor and their appropriate disposal for at least 2 projects. - Handled at least one Arbitration cases in respect of any Highway/Bridge projects. - Not more than 65 years of age. : We commit to put people who join us at the heart of improving transportation and urban infrastructure efficiency.
