Job Description

- We are seeking a knowledgeable IT Systems Administrator with expertise in Microsoft Exchange Server to join our IT team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and support of our Exchange environments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the organization.
- The Senior IT Systems Administrator participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include technical leadership, mentors other team members, and leading projects.

Skills (Must Have)

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Exchange Server (2016, 2019, or later) and associated technologies.
- Strong knowledge of administering Microsoft Exchange Online 365 environments and associated technologies.
- Experience with working in hybrid Exchange environments (on-prem and 365) is a plus.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and related networking concepts.
- Proven ability to speak comfortably with technical and non-technical users.
- Expertise in speaking comfortably about complex system issues with non-technical users.
- Proven track record of managing tasks and projects to completion successfully within SLA guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision and instruction.

Exchange Server Administration

- Manage and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor server health and performance, applying necessary patches and updates to ensure optimal operation.

User Account Management

- Administer user accounts, distribution lists, and permissions in Exchange, including provisioning and deprovisioning as needed.
- Implement and manage mailbox policies, retention policies, and compliance configurations.

Security and Compliance

- Develop and enforce security policies related to Exchange, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational requirements.
- Implement measures to protect against spam, malware, and unauthorized access.

Backup and Disaster Recovery

- Establish and maintain backup and recovery procedures for Exchange environments.
- Conduct regular testing of recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

Support and Troubleshooting

- Provide advanced technical support for Exchange-related issues to end users and other IT staff.
